Environmental Credentials

Kleenex Brand® Toilet Tissue is dedicated to promoting the sustainable management of forests. We have gained Forest Stewardship Council® certification, and we have a committed environmental management system.

In 2011, as a result of our commitment to sourcing from responsibly managed forests, Kleenex Brand® was granted certification by the Forest Stewardship Council®, (FSC®) – internationally recognised as the world’s most rigorous environmental and social standard for responsible forest management.

This certification means that we’ve been independently (third-party) audited, to ensure that every roll is sourced from responsibly managed forests and plantations. This is also the only forest certification scheme endorsed by prominent environmental groups such as Greenpeace and the WWF® (World Wildlife Fund®).

Recycle Packaging

As part of our focus on minimising our impact on the planet, we source recycled fibre recovered from waste paper. We also design and specify our packaging in accordance with the principles of the Australian Packaging Covenant Sustainable Packaging Guidelines.

Recycle Packaging

In the process of manufacturing toilet hygiene products, the makers of Kleenex® Toilet Tissue, Kimberly-Clark® Australia, design and specify its packaging in accordance with the principles of the Australian Packaging Covenant Sustainable Packaging Guidelines. We also have a policy of buying recycled content for packaging where it is readily available.

Instead of toilet to trash, try recycling

We are proud to be a foundation partner of the REDcycle Program. This provides a solution for the recycling of flexible film packaging. This is the first program of this type in Australia.

Where to put your personal hygiene packaging

You can now physically take your Kleenex® Toilet Tissue flexible plastic packaging into participating Coles and Woolworths stores, and place it in the REDcycle bins. Once full, the collected plastic toilet paper wrapping is taken away to be recycled from hygiene product packaging into outdoor furniture like seats, paving, and child play equipment

Find your nearest participating Coles Or Woolworths store

You can access your nearest participating store here. If you find it difficult to access a Coles or Woolworths store, or live in a regional area, then you can post your flexible plastic packaging to RED Group: 38 Chelmsford Street, Williamstown North, VIC 3016
